Don't Abort, Abandon!
After reading a series of stories on Msnbc about kids in Nebraska being dropped off at hospitals like friggen pizza deliveries after the passage of a "safe haven" law allowing parents to abandon kids aged 19 and under at hospitals, I can't help but wonder what the "pro-life" crowd thinks of this.
First there was the father who left nine of his ten kids at the hospital because their mother died, and he's unemployed and not capable of caring for them himself.
I'm sorry but I didn't feel one iota of sympathy for this asshole. WHY don't people think of this shit before they recklessly and carelessly bring ten goddamn children into the world??? These people just fuck and breed, fuck and breed, fuck and breed. Nobody plans for catastrophe's such as the death of one parent or unexpected job loss...they plan for absolutely nothing. Introduce ten little fuck trophies into the world and HOPE FOR THE BEST! That's how they think. If you can qualify that as "thinking".
No need to plan for unforeseen tragedies! We'll cross that bridge when we come to it. We don't OWE IT TO OUR KIDS to have a back-up plan to care for them in the event things fall apart. People like this are thoughtless in their incessant breeding and are too stupid and insensitive to realize they OWE more to the children they bring into the world. I do NOT feel bad for this guy who dumped his kids at the hospital and walked away.
I have a feeling that he's garnering a lot of sympathy because he's a man and that pisses me off. If this was a WOMAN who dropped off nine of her crotch dumplings at the local hospital, a lot more people would be up in arms about the shit. Women are held to a much higher standard when it comes to things like this. All compassion is out the window when a woman in this situation can't take care of her kids, but when it's a man, people empathize..."Aww he's a man. There's no way he can take care of HIS OWN KIDS all by himself!!!!!!"
What bullshit.
You know who I reserve my sympathy for? THE KIDS! They didn't ask to be born. They lost their mother. Their father is shirking his responsibility by abandoning them. I can't even imagine what they are going through mentally and emotionally.
What a sorry state of affairs.
From what I've read, since this "safe haven" law passed in July, over 18 kids have been abandoned. IN TWO MONTHS. Is this what the pro-life crowd, who frowns upon abortion, has in mind when they try to force people to have kids they don't want? Cause I do think it's safe to assume that many of the people who have abandoned their kids under this law, probably did not have a strong desire for them in the first place. Some of these parents PROBABLY considered abortion but decided against it because they themselves are "pro-life" and believe abortion is wrong.
At this pace, there will be over 100 children abandoned over the next 12 months. Is this the alternative to abortion that pro-lifers would like to see continue? Families being ripped apart, kids being thrown away by parents they've already bonded with and become attached to...is this preferable to children being aborted before they're born?
I'm thinking NO.
