Really? I stopped visting TMC.com because over time, it started looking more like a cesspool for pro-natal/pro-SAHM propaganda. It was starting to look that way for true dad confessions too, but not always. There was one story where a dad experienced an epiphany that not only did he not want kids, but that the whole kid decision was much more about mindlessly going along his WIFE'S (and society's)intentions than his own...but alas, that epiphany was reached the moment the baby's head crowned on the labor table, to which he further confessed he'll never be able to look at his wife's vageen the same way ever again....Oh, and did I forget to add: she also (NOISILY) laid a turd while pushing on the labor table? *LMAO* That was far & away my favorite confession! He sure did get alot of s#!t for it though from other dads *LOL* I guess the truth DOES hurt *LOL*

Is my fiance the only man on the planet to buck the system as a single, childless male and outright SAY that he will NEVER date another woman with kids simply because of the headaches and the "coffee can" sex? He's BT and DT...he prefers not to "go around the edges" anymore.

I was sad to see TDC get flushed down the toilet too. I enjoyed reading it because it was interesting to see parenthood from a man's perspective. We're always inundated with images and stories of motherhood, albeit images and stories that tend to be misconstrued into kodak moments, but always from the female perspective. It was good to read what the men were going through. Often times it was sad to read how much their lives had changed in a negative way, but I think it was still necessary to let their voices be heard too. It is completely SEXIST to take down the Dad Confessions and still let the Mom Confessions continue. Hypocrite: another way to define "mother."

I think it was taken down out of spite, mostly. No one ever likes to admit an unpleasant truth, especially if the unpleasant truth is in direct contradiction to what they've been brought up to never question. It snaps them out of their comfort bubble.

Do you remember the shitstorm that erupted afetr Leslie Bennetts released "The Feminine Mistake"? The book basically says that by being SAHMoos, women put themselves into serious financial jeopardy because, face it - a husband can leave, lose a job or pass away. The moos got their collective panties in a bunch because how dare Ms. Bennetts criticize their way of life? How dare she make them feel guiltier about their lives than they already do?

The removal of the Dad confession is similar in the backlash. They're much happier believing that their husband/boyfriend/sperm donor/wallet is blithely going to be happy with the way things are, would never leave them, etc. To know otherwise is to go against everything they've ever been taught in their lifetime.

That truth is more than a bit unpleasant.

Of course those insecure moos took the site down. Shit, they have no control in their own lives, what with their crotch-spawns running rampant, that it must feel like ten orgasms at once to be able to tell men to shut up on teh inturnetz.

And I am fucking tired of women saying your vagina isn't ruined after childbirth, because it totally is. Even my gynecologist admits this, and she does have kids! This is half the reason I support a woman's right to choose! When pro-lifers (mainly male pro-lifers) act like the woman is a cold-blooded killer for aborting her pregnancy I have to counter it with abortion being a good method of disfigurement prevention!

I LOVED True Dad Confessions and I felt so ashamed to be female when it was taken down and the Mom confession site was left as is.

These moos couldn't handle the truth after all the lies they had been fed eg babies will bring you and your husband closer together, and so they did the most epic failure possible.

On top of everything it's a double standard. Women can bitch about how hard parenting is and they get coddled and fussed and patted on the back, but as soon as men do it there has to be blood! These people make me embarrassed to have a uterus!
