replicating your dna is not the only purpose of your life. You sacrifice all the good things in life for replicating your dna, for what- " increasing the human population from 7 billion to 10 billion, increase global warming, let wild life and forests face extinction", sucha noble act.

it is clearly a very evil act for ppl to reproduce, even after knowing the truth. and to sacrifice all the fun in ur life for this sounds even worse. the worst thing is to term these ppl as selfish, fools and so on.

I, as a man, say that women who use thier indepentant intelligence to over ride the non-thinking, unconsciously transmitted meme's of being nothing more than a mindless DNA replicator, are the truely herioic benefactors of the Earth and a much more benevolent and sustainable civilization of the future.

The word "weird" that comes from such individuals is nothing more than a response comming from a mind that isn't capable of deep, introspective thought on anything. Such individuals are nothing more than meme replicating knuckle dragging hominids that harken back to dull minded, primitive stone tool using just slightly higher than lower animals, humanoids only in appearance individuals who couldn't even imagine what it must be like to think an original thought, come to a new conclusion, and rationally evaluate the mindless "social mores" that usually are nothing more than proclaimations to breed mindlessly like bacturium, which only stop when the resource base has been desimated.

No, take pride in your individuality and demonstration of sentient, rational thought, and know that women like you will probably help springboard civilization to new heights, as the new ideas that we begin to promulgate in the "developed" world, hopefully, find a new home in the more primative areas of our world, where people still are mindlessly replicating with abandon and no thought of the future.

I don't know that I've been more insulted by a piece of media than I was with that article. I mean, is she kidding? Does she really believe that all mothers walk around with a halo over their head while the rest of us get drunk and slut around the office? She's so uninformed.

Bingo, Holly: I like that. I was fuming by the third paragraph of this tripe. As IF a woman cannot be full of "humanity" (what?) or a diligent worker, or responsible enough to show up on time at work without a raging hangover without getting knocked up. Give me a break. As far as the "mothers" not being the source of the "office bitch-fest?" It makes NO difference: some of the meanest, snakiest gossips and backstabbers I've encountered had more than one kid... I'd just love to see the scientific basis of this "research" to which the author refers.
